- Create and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to engage and secure financial support from various donor segments.
2. Cultivate Donor Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective major donors, effectively stewarding their support and ensuring ongoing engagement.
- Implement donor cultivation strategies, including personalized communications, donor appreciation events, and one-on-one meetings, to deepen relationships and secure long-term commitments.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective donors, highlighting the organization's impact and the benefits of partnerships.
3. Community Relations
- Develop and nurture relationships with key community stakeholders, including Rabbanim, individuals, businesses, and community askanim.
- Represent the organization in community events, meetings, and functions to promote awareness of its mission, programs, and fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create and implement community engagement strategies that align with the organization's fundraising goals.
- Conduct outreach activities to cultivate new partnerships and strengthen existing relationships within the community.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and the community, addressing inquiries, providing information, and fostering a positive image.
4. Major Donor Solicitation:
- Identify and prioritize major gift prospects based on capacity, affinity, and philanthropic interests.
- Develop solicitation strategies and personalized approaches for each major donor prospect, tailored to their specific interests and motivations.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings and make persuasive fundraising asks to secure significant contributions in support of the organization's programs and initiatives.
5. Collaborate and Coordinate:
- Work collaboratively with the fundraising team, program staff, and senior leadership to ensure alignment of fundraising efforts with organizational goals and priorities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather programmatic information, outcomes, and success stories for use in donor communications and proposals.
- Engage and support board members and other volunteers in fundraising activities, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to cultivate donor relationships.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of successful major gift fundraising, including securing substantial donations from individual donors, corporations, and foundations.
- Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices, with expertise in major gift cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
